Learn to Win

A new mobile feature for a microlearning app

Created to make the learning experience even easier!  Coaches create lessons that can be broke down (using microlearning principles) for their students/players to easily absorb.

People are lazy and not all-knowing

This was a major cause for concern with Learn to Win's existing app. Therefore, I chose to create this marketplace feature as a way to alleviate problems that were caused by two things: their users can be lazy and can't always teach their teams about topics they don't understand themselves.

This feature allows users to continuously learn more on any topic at either a cheap rate or for free. It will be an add-on to the current iOS app where users can easily search for lessons and quizzes that are published to the Marketplace and purchase them to study on their own! Essentially, learning, teaching, and sharing will be super convenient

My Process

STep 1: Research

Step 2: wireframing

Step 2: wireframing

I spoke with Learn to Win employees, coaches who currently use the app, and potential buyers about ways that Learn to Win could improve their app. Specifically, I interviewed them to determine what was currently missing from the app,  what they use the app for, and their frustrations with the app. I needed to find a way to meet the user's needs as well as meeting the business goals.

Other points of research:

  • Competitor research
  • audience analysis
  • market analysis
  • interview the sales team to determine what factors make people want to (or not want to) buy their product

Step 2: wireframing

I created wireframes based on my research. I got feedback from developers (to determine the feasibility of the features), product managers (to measure my ideas with the business goals), and other designers (to ensure the feature would be intuitive and accessible).

Step 3: Prototyping

Step 3: Prototyping

After receiving feedback on my wireframes, I created interactive prototypes that I could then present to the business and potential clients. I made final changes to my design based on my design review meetings to accommodate for any areas of concern.
